Seattle Center

On August 2020, Jovita Mercado was selected to be a participant in the City of Seattle’s Public Art Bootcamp. Through this opportunity, Jovita installed her piece titled “Los Trabajadores, Sus Apoyos, Y La Comunidad” at the Seattle Center. This installation consisted of Loteria inspired designs on the glass panels of a walk way. This piece is a tribute the laborers, their advocates, and the diverse community of Washington State.

City of Burien

In 2019, Jovita designed a utility box wrap design for the City of Burien. This design was a visual representation of Latinx migration from Yakima to cities like Burien. This was during Boeing Economic Boom in the 1960’s.

Limited Edition Orca Card Designs

In the Summer of 2021, Jovita was selected by 4 Culture to design limited edition Orca Cards for the RapidRide H line, a route that passes through Delridge, White Center, and Burien.
